Prep Your Surface!
THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP
-
Remove oils, grease, and contaminants by scrubbing with a suitable degreaser and cleaner.
-
Rinse thoroughly with clean potable water until the surface is water break-free.
-
Allow surface to dry completely.
-
Abrade the surface to remove laitance and open all voids by one of the following:
-
Etching with Ramuc Clean & Prep solution.
-
Grinding or light vacuum blasting.
-
Ensure the surface texture is similar to 100-grit sandpaper.
-
Verify substrate has minimum tensile strength of 1.5 MPa and moisture content below 5%.
-
Patch all grind marks in the substrate before coating to achieve a smooth finish.
-
Protect the area from dust and isolate access to prevent contamination between layers.

Filling in Cracks
IF NEEDED
Our Joint Filler & Sealant (sold separately) fills and seals cracks or chips before epoxy application. It resists mild acids, alkalis, and occasional contact with aromatic solvents, offering excellent thermal shock resistance. It creates a strong structural bond to repair problem areas.
Surface Preparation
-
Ensure all joints are clean, dry, and free of oil, dirt, debris, curing compounds, sealers, paint, or coatings.
-
Joints must have an open surface texture.
-
Simply removing debris with hand tools is insufficient. Preferred cleaning methods:
-
Dustless concrete saw
-
Wire wheel abrader
-
Sandblasting
-
-
Completely remove residue with vacuuming or oil-free compressed air.
-
For floor cracks, route out and clean cracks before filling. Square off all edges.
-
Ensure joints are completely dry before applying the Joint Filler & Sealant.
Mixing Instructions
-
Premix Part A and Part B separately.
-
Combine equal parts (1:1 ratio) of Part A and Part B.
-
Mix thoroughly for 2–3 minutes using a slow-speed drill with a mixing blade or Jiffy mixer.
-
Scrape the sides and bottom of the container for a uniform mix.
-
Do not thin or aerate.
-
Pot life is 30–45 minutes—apply within this time.
Application
-
Apply the product with a bulk caulking gun, pressure extruder, or other low-pressure methods.
-
Start from the bottom of the joint and fill upward to avoid air pockets.
-
If needed, retool the filler before it sets.
-
For traffic loop sealing:
-
Start at the highest point.
-
Fill the joint to 2/3 depth, allowing it to settle around wires.
-
Make a second application to fill the joint completely.
-
-
Do not apply below 50 °F (10 °C).
-
Cure for 24 hours at 75 °F (24 °C) or longer at colder temperatures before traffic use.

How To Apply The Floor Epoxy Kit
1. Mixing
-
Pre-mix Part A and Part B separately in their original containers.
-
Measure equal volumes of Part A and Part B (1:1 ratio by volume).
-
Combine in a clean mixing bucket and mix thoroughly for 5–10 minutes.
-
Use a drill fitted with a shear (paddle) mixer for best results.
-
Ensure the product is fully blended, scraping the sides and bottom of the container while mixing.
2. Application
-
Once mixed, the product has a 3-hour pot life.
-
You must apply the epoxy within this time before it becomes unworkable.
-
To avoid waste, it is recommended to divide the mixed product into smaller portions (for example, quarters) and work in sections.
Application Tools
-
Use a brush (maximum 10mm thickness) for edges and hard-to-reach areas.
-
Use a mohair or lambskin roller for larger surface areas.
Coverage and Thickness
-
Apply at a thickness of 0.125–0.2mm per coat.
3. Recoating
-
Allow 24 hours before applying the second coat.
-
Drying time is temperature-dependent:
-
In warmer conditions, recoating may be possible after ±16 hours.
-
In cooler conditions, curing may take up to 72 hours.
-
In cooler temperatures, the coating will feel soft if still curing — wait until it has hardened fully before recoating.
⚠️ If more than 72 hours pass before recoating, lightly abrade (sand) the first coat to ensure proper adhesion before applying the second coat.
Once the surface is ready, repeat the mixing and application steps for the second coat.
